Chianti Classico vs Supertuscan: The Ultimate Wine Challenge in a Medieval Castle

Let the great challenge begin!

Classic Chianti is undoubtedly one of the oldest wines produced in Tuscany. It exemplifies how indigenous vineyards thrive when placed in their ideal environment.
In recent years, however, a new winemaking philosophy has emerged in Tuscany that has captivated wine enthusiasts: the Super Tuscans. These wines are made from international grape varieties that, when cultivated in our region, reveal unexpected and remarkable characteristics.
This tour has been designed to allow participants to taste both expressions of local viticulture, giving everyone the chance to choose their favorite. We will visit two cellars: one in the morning in Chianti Classico - a traditional one- and another in the afternoon at a beautiful 12th-century castle that specializes in Super Tuscans - with wine in amphora
